DESIGNER STATEMENT

I approach Interior Design as a balance between clarity, functionality, and personal expression. My work is rooted in minimal design principles, where simplicity is used intentionally to create spaces that feel calm, purposeful, and adaptable to the people who inhabit them. I believe that well-designed interiors should not only look refined, but also respond thoughtfully to individual needs, lifestyles, and emotions.

Throughout my academic journey as an Interior Design student at Zayed University, I have explored design across multiple scales〞from residential interiors and furniture design to exhibition spaces. One of my favorite projects was the TBT showroom, where I reimagined an existing perfume store and transformed it into a fabric retail space. This project challenged me to work within existing spatial constraints while redefining the store’s identity and function. Through strategic space planning, material selection, and circulation design, I addressed display requirements, user flow, and sensory experience, strengthening my problem-solving skills and ability to adapt a space to a new program while maintaining visual clarity and coherence.

I am particularly interested in how spatial layout, materiality, and light shape user experience. My design process begins with understanding context and user needs, followed by developing clear concepts that translate into functional and visually balanced outcomes. I have had the opportunity to exhibit my work at Zayed University and Dubai Design District, as well as contribute to an exhibition design proposal for the Venice Biennale. These experiences strengthened my interest in spatial storytelling and detail-driven design. Moving forward, I aim to create interiors that are timeless, user-centered, and thoughtfully crafted〞spaces that feel intentional, adaptable, and meaningful.
